911, Where is your emergency: This is the first question you will hear when you dial 911.
The Location of the emergency is the most important information to give a 911 Dispatcher.
“Okay, tell me exactly what happened.” – Provide the dispatcher with a quick sentence about the emergency.
Stay on the line with the dispatcher until they say it is okay to disconnect. Our dispatchers are trained in a medical protocol and in case of a medical emergency will provide life saving instructions if needed.
Reminder: The All Hazard Outdoor Sirens are tested the first Wednesday of every month at 12 noon. If severe weather is forecast, or is observed in the area, the monthly test will be postponed until the next monthly test to avoid confusion.
